KI DESK

The overall shape of the desk is fluid and does not reveal any visible fastening or attachment systems. Its two legs, wider at their base to support its free-form top, draw the eye to the fascinating grain pattern created by the interplay of rhythm and contrast between the end grain and the edge grain wood.

The KI collection is a range entirely designed to be made to measure and adapt to monumental dimensions. Each piece is signed and made in a limited edition. The uniqueness of this collection was born from the meeting between Thomas Lebécel and Victoria Magniant. She explains that she has always been captivated by the cabinetmaker's achievements, his sophisticated assemblies and his particular talent for matching the woods together. In an approach that respects the material and the expertise of the craftsman, Victoria Magniant has designed this collection that is both minimalist and infinitely sophisticated.

Playing on assemblies of grain wood (cut in the direction of the grain) and end-grain wood (cut perpendicularly) and with the Japanese technique of Yakisugi which slightly fossilizes the surface of the material, the wood is transformed and takes on an almost mineral appearance.
